MAMA A.C. is for street kids and others.
McKenna, Kelly, Rachel and Amanda work downtown with a relatively new agency that has changed its mission. Right now they are fixing and painting. It is part of what is called "Movimiento de Apoyo a Menores abandonados, A.C.," thus, MAMA. The woman in charge of volunteers is Luz Angélica Cataño Corona, who says that the girls may have a chance to meet some of the kids soon. In the meantime, sanding, painting and cleaning are the orders of the day, that is, two hours each day from 4 to 6 p.m. after a half hour bus ride.
