Teresa teaches half of the BYU students in Guadalajara.
The two Spanish classes are conducted in the University Autónoma de Guadalajara Humanities building. Students (are supposed to) arrive at 8:45 for a brief devotional (hymn, prayer, announcement in Spanish) so that Spanish classes can start promptly at 9 a.m. The teachers are well-prepared. Sometimes, students arrive late because the buses are full and won't stop for them. "Get up early," they are encouraged. Sometimes, the Mexican families don't get breakfast ready on time. "Coman copos de maíz," I tell them. Teresa is the daughter (one of seven children) of Lupe Delgadillo, who is in charge of the service project assignments. Teresa has four children. Mormons and Mexicans will populate the world.
